Your adventure begins with the arrival at the lodge: From the beach in Calovébora it takes about 20 minutes by boat to the Rainforest Lodge – The boat takes you over the sea directly to the private beach and from there across the river to the private boat dock. Surrounded by pristine and largely untouched rainforest, cozy lodges in exotic nature, long Caribbean beaches, indigenous villages, enchanted jungle rivers and breathtaking peace await you – a great experience that you will never forget.
Enjoy the peace and seclusion in about 300 hectares of private rainforest on the Caribbean coast of Panama, listen to the jungle sounds, observe exotic animals or relax on the private beach of the Rainforest Lodge.
Cosy lodges
At Rainforest Lodge you will find five comfortably furnished houses on the hillside overlooking the river and the Caribbean Sea, two spacious apartments directly on the river, as well as its own restaurant, bar and boat dock.
Private beaches and pure nature
Away from stress and hustle and bustle, Rainforest Lodge is nestled in about 300 hectares of private rainforest - directly on the Estero Salado River, only about 150 meters from its own private Caribbean beach. Two other private beaches are accessible by boat or by excursion through the pristine ecosystem.
On the trail of Humboldt
Part of the Rainforest Lodge is a small research center: the Panama Institute. During non-booking periods, the lodge is used by scientists, universities and research institutes for the study of flora and fauna and for the conservation of the ecosystem.

In the restaurant Black Pearl our chef conjures up a rich, varied cuisine three times a day using typical local products, which is a fusion of numerous historical influences. You can always choose from a fish, meat and vegetarian dish.
Pleasant climate
The Panamanian rainforest on the Caribbean coast
is particularly suited to "western" sensibilities: Daytime temperatures average between
25 and 32° C, pleasantly cooler at night.
Sustainable in all relationships
Living from and with nature: Only local building materials were used for Rainforest Lodge and workers from the surrounding area were employed. - Equally important is the protection of our resources. For this reason, towels and bed linen are changed during your stay only at your request.
