Travel options from Panama City to Calovebora on the Caribbean coast to our Rainforest Lodge are as follows:

1. the cheapest way to travel is by public transport, the bus: from the Albrook bus terminal in Panama City to Santiago de Veraguas,
– Depending on the comfort of the bus, prices vary between 7$ and 15$. The journey takes about 3.5 hours.

2. onward journey from Santiago de Veraguas to Santa Fe. Price between $5 and $10 depending on the comfort of the bus. When travelling by bus, we recommend a blanket or jacket because of the air conditioning.

From Santa Fe to Calovebora, only small local buses are available. As the route leads directly through the rainforest, we recommend a taxi or pick-up taxi if you have a lot of luggage.

Price of the taxi approx. between 35$ and 45$, we recommend to negotiate the price beforehand. By bus the price is about 2$.

Another option is to rent a car: prices start at $150 per week, ask the car rental companies directly at the airport for conditions. We recommend reputable car rental companies.

Another option is to travel from Panama City directly to Calovebora by taxi, price approx. 250$, best to negotiate the price beforehand.

Whichever way you choose to arrive, to make your arrival pleasant we recommend an overnight stay in the pleasantly cool Santa Fe mountains.
Overnight prices range from $35 to $85 for a double room, depending on the standard.

Once you arrive in Calovebora, you can take a water taxi across the Caribbean Sea directly to the Rainforest Lodge. Costs from approx. 60$ depending on the number of people.
